Last week, the Independent reported on a medical doctor, Dr Annette Hunter, whose life was altered dramatically when she became unwell. As a Sports and Exercise medicine specialist, she worked with Irish and British Olympic athletes. She had a home in Horn Head and greatly enjoyed her lifestyle and career.
Unfortunately she lost her home when she was forced into early retirement due to illness:
“The first loss came about as I had to retire early due to illness. I was self-employed and not being able to work meant I could not sustain paying my mortgage. I had to sell my home to clear my mortgage.”
